MY ARTWORK The intercultural crossroad between Portugal, Africa and Brazil has been a milestone for my self-acknowledgement and the way my creativity has evolved. Pursuing the true beauty of things and people, despite all the misery and pain, is my objective in painting. Not messing with complicated concepts or misleading visions. That is why I work figurative painting - for the live expression of the eyes and the attitudes, shapes and patterns, colours and environments. I like working on big sized canvas and boards.

EDUCATION Since early years she discovered the pleasure of drawing and painting and anything related to manual and creative works. Her mother always had a harsh and demanding eye - if not perfect, try again. That was the beggining and way she works. Attended Painting at ESAD (School of Arts & Design), in Caldas da Rainha.

O MEU TRABALHO O cruzamento entre continentes e a assimilação intercultural lusófona, são pedra-angular para a minha criatividade e existência pessoal. Viagens ao Porto, Londres, Cabo Verde e o regresso a Angola, foram momentos particularmente importantes para o meu desenvolvimento criativo.
O meu trabalho baseia-se essencialmente na tentativa de retratar pessoas e momentos, e captar daí, no instante em que os nossos olhares se cruzam, o que de mais profundo e verdadeiro existe. Daí optar pela pintura figurativa - pela expressão viva dos olhares e das posturas, das formas e dos padrões, das cores e ambientes.

FORMAÇÃO Desde muito cedo descobriu que o que realmente dava prazer era desenhar e pintar, e tudo o que se relacionasse com trabalho manual e criativo. A mãe teve sempre um papel muito crítico e exigente em tudo o que fazia desde tenra idade. Se não estivesse perfeito, teria de voltar a fazer. Foi esse início marcante para a futura formação artística, e a forma de trabalhar. Cursou Artes Plásticas-Pintura, na ESAD de Caldas da Rainha.
